Library

The Hunter Wetlands Centre Australia’s library is a service that contributes to the Centre's vision, which is to promote research, understanding, conservation, enjoyment and wise use of wetlands.

The unique collection of resource material includes monographs, reports, environmental impact statements, pamphlets, journals, maps, and audio-visual materials.  The library's focus is on the values and management of wetlands in Australia, the flora and fauna of specific wetlands, particularly those in the Hunter Valley.  There is also a strong collection of materials on birds, especially wetland birds.

Volunteers staff the library, a retired Librarian and a number of library assistants.  The library is open to the public on request.  Information can be sourced from the Library by simply filling in a Library request form & the assistants will only be to happy to assist.

Resource materials are not loaned but photocopier is available at a small cost.
