Altered Perspective is the work of the ‘Hunter Women Artists’.
Jackie is a contemporary oil painter using large brushes and knives trying to capture the very essence of the natural environment, the fleeting light and wild moments of nature.
Jenni has a love of the Australian bush and native flowers. Her colourful works evolve from memories of childhood in a coastal town. Recent paintings are mostly experimental, striving to capture the intricate weave of colour and shape in nature, which can be somewhat messy, but always beautiful.
Annie uses various techniques including acrylic, watercolour and mixed media to create here unique paintings, of which no two are ever the same. She paints in contemporary style to capture the landscape.
Cheryl is a self-taught artist of many years standing. She uses bright and strong colour in oil, acrylic and mixed media, especially in the landscape.
Jill’s work reflects on the environment and the changes to environment. She uses collage and mixed media to create layers, both physical and metaphorical to develop a narrative to her paintings.
Helen is a birdwatcher and accomplished photographer, as well as an artist. She depicts birds in an ethereal way, capturing their playfulness and delight in their environment.
Leigh is an accomplished watercolour artist and her latest paintings are intuitive freeform landscapes, using lots of paint and water to show the transient nature of the environment.
