“Birds In Wetlands” on 28 January 2023

Pls join us if you are over 18 years old and have some experience and basic competence in drawing and painting!

This is a precious opportunity to learn Chinese painting from an award-winning artist. You may later consider entering into a painting exhibition at the Hunter Wetlands Centre in 2024 – a great way to celebrate Chinese New Year and contribute to the local wildlife conservation and education.

In this 2-hour workshop on Saturday, 28 January 2023, Dr Fan Dongwang will teach the basics of Chinese painting and the essential brush strokes and composition.  You will be guided to produce possibly your first Chinese painting on the local wetlands and birds with ink and brush on rice paper. All tools and materials will be provided. At the conclusion of the workshop, you will also get to keep a complimentary Chinese paint brush and another beautiful surprise gift.
