Art Exhibition - Wetlands Wonders

The Wednesday Makers Group at Timeless Textiles Gallery combines their love of fibre art with their commitment to social justice issues. This is a group of community minded stitchers who come together each week. They work collaboratively all year with the aim of celebrating International Women’s Year by developing wonderfully creative projects to raising awareness of local community issues.

The Wednesday Makers Group morphs and changes depending on the project and the season, but everyone is always welcome – regardless of experience and beliefs. Friendships develop and skills are enhanced in a supportive, non-judgemental and caring environment.

The group has developed an interest and love of the Hunter Wetlands – participating in the “Wrapping the Wetlands “event in 2022, and creating the Wetlands textile mural in 2023. They are delighted to be exhibiting as a group in “Wetlands Wonders”.
