July School Holidays

We're BUZZING with excitement because our July School Holiday activities theme is all about BEES!

• Buzz along our special BEE PATH to find out about Honey Bees and Australian Native Bees (WHEN: Everyday July School Holidays COST: Free with Entry)

• Build a BEE HOTEL and learn how to make your GARDEN BEE FRIENDLY. (WHEN: Everyday July School Holidays COST: Free with Entry)

• Drop in to the Wetlands on School Holiday's Wednesday between 10am and 12am to get busy with some BEE CRAFT. Don't forget to stay for our special School Holiday Wednesday Reptile Encounter at 11am (WHEN: 10th & 17th July COST: $5 plus entry*)

• If you can't BEE there on Wednesday we'll also BEE having our regular Reptile Encounter on Saturday and Sundays at 11am (COST: $5pp plus entry)

* Craft Day cost is $5 per child plus entry. This charge includes all craft materials plus child's entry to that day's Reptile Encounter. Parents accompanying children to the Reptile Encounter must also pay $5 for the show.

There's always lots to do for kids and families at the Wetlands.

• Guided Walks Tuesday and Saturdays at 10.30am

• Bird Feeding everyday at 10.30am

• Canoe Hire (2 hours: $20 per Kayak $30 2-3 seat canoe)

• We also have Playgrounds, Dipnetting, Walking Tracks, Egret Tower, Bird Watching and The Animal House.

We're open 9am - 4pm, 7 days a week all July School Holidays!

Did You Know... Australia has more than 2000 species of Native Bees! Our bees are the fashion icons of the insect world, flaunting a rainbow of colours from black to yellow, red, metallic green,  even blue stripes or polka dots! Not to mention they come in all shapes and sizes from dainty and sleek to big and fluffy.
