Keeping Our Wetlands Healthy: Water Testing at Hunter Wetlands Centre

At Hunter Wetlands Centre, we’re committed to the ongoing health and sustainability of our environment. Thanks to Aurizon who have recently provided funding for a new water quality meter which means that we no longer have to test the water through outdated, time consuming methods and we can now easily test the water quality of our main ponds.

We’ll be sharing the raw data from our tests right here on our website, so anyone interested can follow along. In addition to the data, we’ll also be posting regular updates that explain what the results mean and how they help guide the decisions we make about wetland management and conservation.

These insights will help us better understand the condition of our waterways, monitor changes over time, and ensure that our ponds remain a thriving habitat for wildlife and a safe, educational space for visitors.
